Nestor Ranido captured the Sugbuanon Bowlers United (SugBU) Association’s 2026 Bowler of the Month title for April after outscoring Rene Ceniza in the finals on Sunday, April 26, at SM Seaside City Cebu.
Ranido scored 164 pins in the championship round to defeat Ceniza, who finished with 153. The two finalists were the top performers in Division A during the eliminations. Ranido led the division with a five-game 1,000 total, while Ceniza followed with a 961 aggregate to secure semifinal berths.
In the semifinals, Ceniza fired the highest score of the round with 217 pinfalls, while Ranido stayed close with 197 to advance to the title match. Despite Ceniza’s strong semifinal showing, Ranido delivered when it mattered most and claimed the monthly crown.
In Division B, Chris Ramil paced the field with 935 pins, followed by Vivian Padawan with 920. Division C saw Martin Villar Sr. top the standings with 814, while Orly Enoveso advanced with 811. Padawan placed second runner-up after scoring 190 in the semifinals. Ramil and Enoveso both knocked down 188, finishing third and fourth runner-up, respectively, while Villar ended fifth runner-up with 174.
