Austin Reaves of the Los Angeles Lakers could return to action before the end of their Western Conference first round series against the Houston Rockets in the 2025-26 National Basketball Association (NBA).
Injury Details
Reaves suffered a Grade 2 oblique strain on April 2, 2026, during the Lakers' loss to the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder in the regular season.
Recovery Progress
He has already started practicing again, initially limited to 1-on-1 drills. After that, he will attempt 3-on-3 sessions, followed by full 5-on-5 scrimmages before being cleared for game action.
