Critical Late-Game Run

The Spurs briefly regained the lead at 95-94 with 2:16 remaining after Wembanyama made two free throws. However, Brunson sparked a decisive 10-0 run with a three-point shot that sealed the victory for the Knicks.

"Just sticking together -- it wasn't really our night and wasn't really my night most of the night but we kept finding a way, kept chipping away," Brunson said. "Just knowing we have each other's back -- there's a lot of things we could have done better, but I think our togetherness was really the biggest difference."

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, in San Antonio.
