500 Runners Join Dagan Para Sa Kabataan 2026 in Balamban

More than 500 runners and fitness enthusiasts gathered on April 19, 2026, at the West Cebu Estate in Barangay Buanoy, Balamban, Cebu, for the Dagan Para Sa Kabataan 2026, a charity run aimed at supporting students in the mountainous area of Buanoy.

Event Purpose

The run was organized to benefit Buhing Tubig Elementary School, a public school located in a remote part of Barangay Buanoy. Participants could choose from three distances: 7 kilometers, 5 kilometers, and 3 kilometers. All proceeds from the event will be used to purchase educational materials for the school.

“We wanted to push for accessible education, especially for the elementary learners in the mountainous area since they really need educational materials. I figured, why not do it through a run for cause since we also support the development of grassroots runners,” said Isabella Corpuz, race director of Dagan Para Sa Kabataan and SK Councilor.
