A janitor was arrested after yielding over a kilogram of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Talisay City Police Station, together with the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Cebu Police Provincial Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Group–Special Operations Unit 7.
Details of the Operation
The operation took place at 8:17 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Purok Lambay, Barangay San Roque, Talisay. The suspect was identified as alias Bay, 26, a resident of Sitio Sambagan, Barangay Tangke, Talisay City.
Confiscated from him were large packages of suspected shabu weighing 1.1 kilograms, with a standard drug price amounting to P7,480,000.
Items Seized
Also seized were an eco bag containing the drugs, a cellular phone, buy-bust money, and a motorcycle with plate number 758GZB.
The seized evidence has been brought to the Cebu Provincial Forensic Unit for examination, while the suspect is now in the custody of the Talisay City Police Station and is being prepared for charges under Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165.
Suspect Profile
Investigation identified Bay as a high-value individual allegedly involved in the supply of illegal drugs in Barangay Tangke. As a result, he was placed under monitoring and surveillance by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit before the operation was launched.
