The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 7–Central Visayas clarified that families included in the newly released list of potential beneficiaries for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) are not automatically enrolled in the program.
Transparency Measures in Pilar, Bohol
In Pilar, Bohol, a 4Ps municipal link actively posted the list at the barangay hall to ensure it is clear and easily accessible to all affected households. The list, covering Sets 14D and 14E, includes over 57,000 households identified through the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
To enhance transparency, DSWD 7 also posted notices detailing the registration schedule, venue, required documents, and other guidance. “Inclusion in the list does not automatically guarantee enrollment in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program,” said Regional Director Shalaine Marie S. Lucero.
Validation Process and Documentary Requirements
In the next phase, validation will be conducted where the DSWD will verify the presence of school-aged children and the completeness of documents to determine if the household qualifies for the program. Potential beneficiaries are advised to prepare the children’s birth certificates, valid IDs of parents or guardians, marriage certificate if applicable, school ID or certificate of enrollment, and special IDs such as Solo Parent or PWD ID if relevant. An affidavit of guardianship is also required in cases where needed.
According to the DSWD, households found to have stable living conditions or no longer belonging to the target sector may be excluded from registration. The agency emphasized that assessment and validation are critical to ensure that government assistance reaches those who truly need it.
Public Encouragement and Complaint Mechanism
DSWD 7 encourages all listed families and the public to read and follow the guidelines, comply with requirements, and coordinate with officials during registration. Complaints against potentially unqualified beneficiaries may be reported to the 4Ps City or Municipal Operations Office for proper verification.
Through this step, the DSWD reaffirms its ongoing efforts to strengthen social protection programs and ensure that government aid is delivered to the poorest and most vulnerable sectors of society.
The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) is the government’s flagship anti-poverty program that provides conditional cash grants to improve the health, nutrition, and education of children, and help break the cycle of poverty from one generation to the next.
