The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has unveiled a sweeping reduction in airport fees across all its managed airports nationwide, set to take effect on April 1, 2026. Substantial Cuts in Aeronautical Fees
Aeronautical fees, which encompass landing and takeoff charges paid by airlines, will see a dramatic decrease of nearly 50 percent. In practical terms, this reduction could translate to savings of up to approximately P5,000 per landing for airlines operating at CAAP-run facilities. This adjustment is expected to lower operational costs for carriers, potentially fostering more competitive pricing and increased flight frequencies.
Reduced Passenger Service Charges Across Airport Categories
For passengers, the changes bring welcome relief in the form of lower PSC fees. At international airports, the international PSC will drop from P900 to P700, while the domestic PSC at these same airports will be reduced from P350 to a range of P150 to P200.
Fee Adjustments for Other Airport Types
The fee reductions extend beyond international hubs. Principal Class 1 airports will see their PSC decrease from P300 to a range of P150 to P200. Principal Class 2 airports will experience a reduction from P200 to P100. Even community airports are included in this initiative, with charges lowering from P100 to P50.
