FDA Warns Against Unregistered Hair Regrowth Product

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning on Thursday, April 30, 2026, against an unregistered hair regrowth product circulating in the market.

FDA Advisory on Coco-Chelle Hair Regrowth Formula

In its Advisory 2026-0330, the FDA cautioned consumers against purchasing or using the product called "Coco-Chelle Hair Regrowth Formula." The agency stated that through postmarketing surveillance, it verified that the product is unauthorized and has not been issued a Certificate of Product Notification (CPN).

Health Risks of Unauthorized Products

The health regulatory agency emphasized that using such violative cosmetic products may pose serious health risks to consumers. Potential adverse reactions include skin irritation, itchiness, anaphylactic shock, and organ failure, particularly from substandard or adulterated products.

The FDA advised the public not to purchase the aforementioned product. Furthermore, all concerned establishments are warned not to sell, advertise, or distribute the product until it obtains proper authorization from the FDA. The FDA also directed its regional field offices and regulatory enforcement units to coordinate with law enforcement agencies and local government units. Their goal is to ensure that such violative products are not sold or made available in the market or areas under their jurisdiction.
