Response and Investigation

Several BFP and volunteer fire trucks responded, but responders faced difficulties due to narrow passageways, requiring them to connect hoses over long distances. The BFP investigation revealed that the fire originated in Peruelo’s bedroom due to electrical ignition.

Tapiru advised the public to avoid overloading electrical connections and to have wiring regularly inspected by competent electricians, replacing any corroded or dysfunctional wiring.

Evacuation and Aid

Affected families are temporarily staying at Andres Bonifacio Elementary School II. The City Government, with assistance from the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD), provided food packs. DSSD head Richelle Verdeprado-Mangga said validation of the total number of affected families is ongoing.
