Pampanga Inaugurates Solar-Powered Purified Water Station in Arayat
A purified water station was officially inaugurated on Monday in Barangay San Juan Baño, located in the town of Arayat, Pampanga. This new facility is designed to deliver safe and affordable drinking water directly to local residents, addressing critical health and accessibility needs in the community.
Leadership and Location
The opening ceremony was led by key local officials, including Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda, Arayat Mayor Jeffrey Luriz, and Barangay Captain Froilan Soriano. The station, named the Maria Sinukuan Purified Water Station, is strategically situated at the foot of Mount Arayat, enhancing its accessibility for the surrounding population.
Advanced Filtration and Solar Power
Prior to the inauguration, Governor Pineda ensured that the facility met stringent cleanliness and potability standards. This was achieved through the installation of a sophisticated three-step filtration system, which was fully funded by the provincial government. Additionally, the water station is equipped with solar power, ensuring uninterrupted operations even during power outages, thereby guaranteeing a reliable water supply for residents.
Community Benefits and Distribution
During the event, more than 2,033 households received free water gallons and food packs from the provincial government, providing immediate relief and support. This distribution highlights the project's direct impact on improving daily life and health outcomes in the area.
Official Statements and Future Outlook
Mayor Luriz emphasized the importance of such programs that offer tangible benefits to residents, particularly in terms of health and livelihood enhancement. He expressed his gratitude to Governor Pineda and the provincial government for their unwavering support to Arayat. In response, Governor Pineda commended the municipal government under Mayor Luriz's leadership for its commitment to implementing health-related projects aimed at elevating the quality of life for all residents.
