Jesus Nazareno 2026 Barangay Visitation Schedule

The revered image of the Jesus Nazareno, also known as the Black Nazarene, is set to embark on its annual journey through the heart of Manila. Starting January 1, 2026, the sacred icon will visit multiple barangays surrounding the Quiapo district as a key part of its traditional feast preparations.

Full Schedule of the Barangay Visitation

According to an official social media announcement from the Quiapo Church, or the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno, the Barangay Visitation 2026 will run for six consecutive days. The church described this event as the visit of the holy image to the communities under its spiritual care.

The itinerary is as follows:

  • January 1: The image will first visit Barangay 309 following a 2:00 PM procession.
  • January 2: Stops include Barangays 308, 306, 307, and 385, where an overnight vigil will be held.
  • January 3: The destinations are Barangays 387, 383, 388, 385, and 386.
  • January 4: The Nazareno will visit Barangays 390, 389, and 392.
  • January 5: The image proceeds to Barangays 391 and 394, which will also host an all-night vigil.
  • January 6: On the final day, the icon visits Barangays 393 and 394 before a procession returns it to the Quiapo Church.

Grand Feast Day and Massive Devotee Turnout

This series of community visits serves as a spiritual prelude to the main event. The annual feast of the Jesus Nazareno is officially scheduled for January 9, 2026. The Quiapo Church anticipates that millions of devotees will participate in the grand celebration, continuing a centuries-old tradition of deep faith and devotion.

This tradition highlights the profound connection between the iconic Black Nazarene and the residents of Manila. The barangay visits allow those who cannot easily travel to the basilica to venerate the image in their own neighborhoods, fostering community prayer and reflection ahead of the massive feast day procession.
