Reaching the summit of Mount Apo has been one of my dreams ever since I discovered my profound love for hiking. After two months of relentless and disciplined training, this moment has finally arrived. I am immensely grateful that I remained dedicated to my overall preparation because, in truth, I might not have been able to handle this trail without the strength I built; I could have stopped numerous times along the way.
The Ascent Was Incredibly Demanding
The climb was extremely intense. It was so steep that in some sections, it felt like actual wall climbing. It was difficult and exhausting, but I could truly feel that my body was ready for it.
Gratitude for a Supportive Coach
I am deeply thankful to my coach, who created a training program that helped me overcome this significant challenge. Even though the ascent was tough, I never felt unprepared.
From climbing small mountains that take only one to two hours to complete, to finishing a sixteen-hour ascent and descent of this majestic mountain, we managed to do it. A dream has been fulfilled, and there are many more mountains I plan to conquer.
