"My fellow constituents in the Fifth District of Cebu, today I called a meeting with our barangay captains in Liloan and asked for their feelings and the sentiment of our people in their respective barangays regarding my upcoming decision on the impeachment in Congress," Frasco said.

The lawmaker added that the consultations will not be limited to Liloan. He plans to tour the entire Fifth District of Cebu to listen to the voice of the people, which will serve as a guide for his decision as their representative in Congress.

The House of Representatives is expected to hold a plenary vote on Monday, May 11, on the articles of impeachment against Duterte.

According to Batangas Second District Representative Gerville Luistro, chairperson of the House Committee on Justice, May 11 is the recommended date after giving members of Congress ample time to study the committee report and the articles of impeachment.

On April 29, the House Committee on Justice voted that they found probable cause to impeach the Vice President. The charges against her include betrayal of public trust, culpable violation of the Constitution, corruption, and other high crimes related to confidential funds, unexplained wealth, bribery, and alleged threats against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and other officials.

Duterte has denied all accusations and described the impeachment as a politically motivated move.
