PNPA Class 2026 Welcomed into Service, Urged to Uphold Trust

The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Silang-Maglaon Class of 2026, consisting of 326 newly graduated cadets, was formally welcomed into active service during the Donning of Ranks and Badge of Honor Ceremony held at Camp Crame on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. This significant event marks their transition from academic training to real-world law enforcement duties.

Keynote Message from PNP Chief

In his keynote address, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. reminded the graduates that their journey is just beginning. He stressed that graduation is not a finish line but a symbol of entry into the true world of service, where every decision carries real consequences and directly affects public safety.

"Today, you step into the service. This is the moment when your dreams put on a uniform, when your sacrifices take shape in the rank you now wear, and when your names begin to carry responsibility greater than yourself," Nartatez said.

"You stand here proud, accomplished, and ready, but let me be clear. This is not the finish line. This is where the real journey begins beyond the gates of the academy—the true world of service. This is no longer a simulation, no longer a training exercise, no longer a controlled environment. This is where decisions are real, where consequences are immediate, and where the lives of the people will depend on you," he added.

Emphasis on Accountability and Growth

Nartatez acknowledged that mistakes are inevitable in their new roles but underscored the critical importance of accountability and personal growth. He urged the 326 new police captains to prove themselves worthy of the badge they now carry, highlighting that their actions will reflect on the institution and the trust of the Filipino people.

Graduate Demographics and Deployment

Of the 326 graduates, 230 are male and 96 are female, showcasing a diverse group entering the force. The new police officers will be deployed across various units nationwide to strengthen law enforcement operations.

The deployment breakdown includes:

Their deployment is part of a broader strategy to ensure public safety and effective policing across the Philippines.
