In a compelling privileged speech delivered on Tuesday, Davao City Councilor Bonz Andrei Militar highlighted the significant dangers that the internet poses to children, describing it as a playground fraught with hidden perils. Councilor Militar articulated that for Filipino children, the internet serves as an expansive virtual playground where they engage in learning, maintain connections with family overseas, and nurture their aspirations. However, he stressed that this digital realm is not inherently safe. "While the digital world offers endless opportunities, it also hides shadows," Militar stated.
