Comelec Sets April 24 Deadline for Online Voter Reactivation Applications
Comelec: Online Voter Reactivation Deadline April 24

Comelec Announces Final Date for Online Voter Reactivation Requests

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has issued a crucial reminder to all citizens regarding the upcoming deadline for online voter reactivation applications. According to the electoral body, all types of online applications for reactivating registration records will only be permitted until April 24, 2026. This cutoff is specified in Comelec Resolution 11177, which outlines the procedures for the ongoing voter registration period.

Specific Online Reactivation Categories and Procedures

Based on the resolution, online filing for reactivation applications will not extend beyond May 18, which marks the final day for the overall voter registration period. The Comelec detailed that several specific categories of online reactivation requests will be continuously received by Offices of Election Officers (OEOs) through their official email addresses until the April 24 deadline. These categories include:

  • Online filing of application for reactivation
  • Reactivation with transfer of registration within or with correction of entries
  • Reactivation with transfer within and correction of entries
  • Reactivation with updating of records for Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities, and members of Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs)

It is important to note that the Comelec permits online filing, reception, and processing of various reactivation applications, such as reactivation with correction of entries, reactivation with transfer within the same city, municipality, or district, and reactivation with transfer within and correction of entries. However, this allowance is contingent upon applicants having complete biometrics data in the local database of the city, municipality, or district where they initially filed their application.

Current Application Statistics and Register Anywhere Program Details

Recent data from the Comelec reveals significant numbers across different application types. As of the latest update, there are 172,894 applications for reactivation, 46,845 applications for reactivation with correction of entries, 39,741 applications for transfer with reactivation, and 14,225 applications for transfer with reactivation and correction of entries. These figures highlight the active engagement of the public in updating their voter records ahead of the deadlines.

In addition to the online reactivation deadline, the Comelec has also announced that the Register Anywhere Program (RAP) will conclude on the same date, April 24. According to the resolution, RAP activities will no longer be conducted beyond this point. The reception of RAP applications at OEOs is set to end on April 24, 2026.

OEOs are authorized to carry out RAP activities during morning or evening sessions at diverse locations, including schools, universities, government agencies, hospitals, call centers, airports, and other strategic sites. Applications submitted through RAP initiatives will be forwarded to the OEOs corresponding to where applicants intend to register as voters or transfer their registration records.

For the period spanning from October 20, 2025, to April 11, 2026, a total of 9,163 applications for voter registration have been filed via RAP activities, demonstrating the program's effectiveness in reaching voters in convenient settings.
