DSWD Delivers Financial Assistance to Families Impacted by Iloilo City Fire
In response to a devastating fire that struck Barangay Benedicto in the Jaro District of Iloilo City on February 17, 2026, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD 6) has provided crucial financial aid to affected families. The agency, through its Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Office in Iloilo, distributed cash relief assistance on February 19, 2026, to help residents cope with the aftermath of the incident.
Cash Aid Distribution Details
Under the established program, families whose houses were completely destroyed received P10,000 each, while those with partially damaged homes were granted P5,000 each. This financial support is specifically designed to cover essential expenses such as:

- Temporary shelter arrangements
- Clothing and other basic necessities
